My Approach:
Mind & Body Interconnectedness
I believe strongly in the interconnectedness between mind and body. Stress, anxiety, worries and depression reduce functioning and physical well being, especially when these symptoms go undiagnosed. The way you feel emotionally deserves the same attention and care as a physical alignment.
In our therapy we will be as mindful of your physical health (sleep, exercise, sex and appetite) as well as your emotional state (feelings, socialization and concentration).
Insight
Insight functions as an essential part of the therapy process. It leads to growth and change. Developing insight requires a client to have the willingness, patience and persistence to look within and understand his or her actions, thoughts and feelings. I believe that insight is the place in therapy where emotional health and wellness begins.
This process of gaining insight is an important part of the therapeutic partnership that develops between us as client and therapist. Based on our work together, insight will constantly unfold and challenge you to achieve your goals. We work as a team to understand and manage feelings and issues as they surface.
